Just before Christmas this year, our team had the absolute privilege of attending and capturing Matti & Loretta’s beautiful Wedding day at a heritage listed homestead in Paterson, New South Wales.
This fantastic rustic venue is called Tocal Homestead. The venue resides at 957 Tocal Rd, Paterson NSW 2421.
The morning weather was overcast in the early morning as we left Sydney to travel to Paterson, but as the morning went by the blue skies appeared much to our luck!
Our crew split up and we all made our way to both bride preparations and groom preparations simultaneously, where they were taking their time in the morning to get ready. Matti was getting ready at Tocal Agricultural College and Loretta was getting ready at Top View Farm.
They held a beautiful tea ceremony after they got ready where the bride and groom proceeded to offer tea to the families for red pockets which symbolises good luck and good fortune for their married life.
“Tocal Homestead is a heritage-listed homestead at Tocal Road, Paterson, Dungog Shire, New South Wales, Australia. The original 1845 homestead was designed by William Moir, while an 1867 barn was designed by Edmund Blacket. The property is owned by the C. B. Alexander Foundation and weddings are occasionally hosted here.”
The civil wedding ceremony was held under an extremely old fig tree where the celebrant gave her blessings and their lovely vowels were exchanged in front of guests and family and friends. Many tears were shed as the ceremony held so many beautiful emotions as many friends and family were unable to attend due to covid19. Fortunately it was livestreamed by us as well!
We had a fantastic afternoon location photoshoot around the farm homestead with Matti & Loretta and the bridal party just in time before the reception kicked off.
