A short while ago we had the pleasure of capturing Jesse & Gemma’s beautiful Wedding day at an awesome venue called Castlereagh Hall which is a beautiful rustic country banquet hall that hosts weddings and functions! Their address is at 1158/60 Castlereagh Rd, Castlereagh NSW 2749.
This is the first time the team’s been here and we’re glad to say it was wonderful! Truly an overlooked and underrated venue on the outskirts of Penrith and Castlereagh.
The weather in the morning was sunny and as we know.. the sun is always great to have especially for a big day like this!
Our crew split up to go to bride preps and groom preps as they both were getting ready at seperate places. Gemma was getting ready at her parent’s home whilst Jesse got ready at his best man’s house.
A few cheeky drinks were had at the boys and plenty of laughs to share. The girls took their time as they had to do their hair, makeup and most important of all: get ready.
After several hours for the preparations, we had a fantastic wedding ceremony just out the front of the Castlereagh Hall itself. As the sunset during the ceremony, we had a spectactular sunset happen which is usually called magic hour or golden hour.
An aboriginal elder blessed the couple in the original land they had the ceremony on which is Darug Nation. A small gesture like this goes a long way to pay our respects to elders past and present.
After the ceremony, we went for wedding location photography and video nearby at the Sydney Polo Club and the sunset made things so spectacular, after the shoot it was party time!
Castlereagh hall is located in a beautiful rural setting and offers amazing mountain views. Overlooking Penrith Lakes it offers a perfect backdrop for photos.
There is an optional hire component for weddings that includes access to a private lounge for the bridal party and use of a portable PA system.
The hall is air conditioned and has a semi industrial kitchen. The decor is cream with burgundy accents. The hall also has timber flooring and a stage.
Kitchen facilities include a double door drinks fridge, pie warmer, microwave, 90cm floor oven with cooktop, dishwasher and a continual hot water urn.
Please be advised that this facility has an induction stove and requires cookware that has an iron or steel bottom in order to work. If you plan on using the cooktop, please check that your pots and pans are suitable for this purpose.
Tables and chairs are available for use and are included in the cost for hire.
Call the Council on 02 4732 8021 to book the hall for your upcoming wedding day!
