Emma and Dallas’ special day started on a crisp, clear morning; the bride seated calmly, hair and makeup being swiftly set in place, surrounded by laughter, fruit and wine and some spectacular views of Wollongong beach and the famous Wollongong lighthouse just a few meters away.
Meanwhile the groom and his party were having their own prep session at the Sage Hotel Wollongong with beautiful leather details courtesy of the belts, shoes and groomsmen gifts. We have to admit, the flasks in leather etched with each groomsmen’s name was a beautifully rustic yet intimate touch.
With native Australian bouquets in hand, the ceremony was situated in the lush Wollongong Botanical Gardens at Rhododendron Gardens where a Kookaburra also made a guest appearance. A fabulous wedding ceremony was had, with friends and family cheering on the newly married couple.
Racing against the sun we joined the bridal party at the iconic Wollongong Lighthouse where we caught the newly weds against the final rays before we left them to enjoy more fruit and champagne before the night’s reception.
Held close by at the Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant, the reception was intimate and lively. The Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant is definitely a must view venue for your upcoming function or wedding!
After capturing some heartfelt speeches and a beautiful first dance the guests really let loose. At any one time at least 80% of the guests (and some of our team members) could be seen and heard singing along to any of the songs chosen by the couple and it was truly a heartwarming sight to behold. Nearing the end of the evening the happy couple were able to sneak away for a quick back lit shoot at the pier outside.
We captured some amazing wedding video and wedding photography on the day and they were absolutely stoked with the results.
